Technology industry and the people related to it usually hold a different view of the world. They want someone who is capable of bringing technologies that revolutionize the lives of ordinary people. The typical American politician, who goes through all the political process to make it to the President of the US, follows an entirely different path.
How about choosing a tech guy from the current famous nerds of the lot to become the next US President? Well, if you think that way, you are not alone. A company named Survata conducted a survey asking the visitors to tell which of the well known tech company CEOs could be suited as the next US president. Well, among all the names included, Elon Musk CEO of Tesla and SpaceX stood to be a clear winner. Technology driven people want to be ruled by a person who has actually introduced technologies which brought real change.
Elon Musk was a clear winner by getting 26 percent of the total votes casted to be considered as next president of the US from tech industry. A close second was the man behind all the Google technology, famous Page Rank algorithm and self-driving cars, Larry Page getting 23 percent votes. Tim Cook who took over the reins of Apple after Steve Jobs, was placed third with only 16 percent votes coming to his favor.
Many other famous CEOs who were not able to make it to the top three included CEO of Amazon Jeff Bezos, CEO of Facebook Mark Zuckerberg, Yahoo’s Marissa Mayer and Microsoft’s Chief Satya Nadella.
The current problems of the world are very complex from Global Warming to Corruption and Population related challenges. It needs someone who comes up with new ways of tackling these issues in a sustainable way. And when we consider all these things, there is no one close to Elon Musk.
